Marty is a seasoned HR Consultant and Executive with over 24 years of progressive responsibility as an HR practitioner. She is passionate about building high performance teams and believes in the value of selecting, managing, retaining and developing exceptional employees through solutions-oriented talent strategies and practices. Marty assists clients to improve their competitive advantage and performance results by incorporating behavioural assessments to advance talent acquisition, leadership and development of their talent.
Her background encompasses high growth, start-up environments as well as large, mature corporate environments in banking, insurance, brokerage and technology. Most recently, Marty was the Chief People Officer of NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N) for over 9 years and managed the global Human Capital practice from start-up, through an IPO to rapid global growth and expansion. The company grew from 350 employees to over 2,700 during this time, frequently hiring close to 100 employees per month.
Marty has hands-on, relevant and applicable experience coaching and managing talent throughout organizations. She has established effective processes, conducted invaluable leader and employee training to
gain the most benefit from the tools and assessments implemented and has analyzed the results by key HR metrics including turnover, engagement, workforce planning and cultural impact. Marty’s work with talent assessments at NetSuite was highlighted in an article in Fortune Magazine.
Marty received her HBA in Labour Management from the University of Toronto, her Bachelors of Commerce specializing in Human Resources from the University of Windsor, and her Masters in Organizational Psychology from North Central University in Arizona. She is a long standing member of World at Work and the Human Resources Professional Association. She is also a member of the International Coaching Federation. She has earned the CHRP, SHRP and CPP designation and is a Certified Behavioural Analyst.
